Sameh Alaa

Sameh Alaa is an Egyptian filmmaker, based in Cairo and Brussels. He studied basic filmmaking techniques for two years, at the Academy of Cinema Arts and Technology/ “أكاديمية فنون وتكنولوجيا السينما”, in Cairo, and worked as an AD in various commercials and feature films. In 2012, Sameh went to Prague, the Czech Republic, to study Directing at “FAMU” – Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. He went on doing a Masters’ degree, at the International Film & Television School of Paris – “ÉICAR”. “Le steak de tante Margaux”/ “The Steak of Aunt Margaux” is his graduation film. Currently, he is preparing his new film set in Egypt.
